After several weeks of revamping this blog — more like reviving it after it appeared to have died a natural death almost a year ago — it’s finally up and running.
Well…mostly.
I’d like to think there were all sorts of legitimate reasons why I neglected it before. Life happened. Work happened. Procrastination definitely happened. But at the end of the day, they’re still excuses, and they’re mine to own. Now, with a little more time on my hands and a renewed sense of purpose (or at least the determination to go looking for it), we’re back.
Yes, there’s a new look and feel.
I spent far too many restless hours wondering how to structure this blog so it would feel less like a random collection of thoughts and more like…well, me. In the end, I realized the only writing style I’m truly comfortable with is the one where I sound like I’m talking to myself.
So that’s exactly what this is.
Think of it as a peek inside my wonderfully overactive INFP brain. There’ll be stories, random musings, reflections, the occasional rabbit hole, and hopefully a few moments that make you smile. I’ll try to keep things light, a little quirky, and perhaps just reflective enough to remind myself that even the not-so-good days usually leave behind something worth keeping.
“But why a blog?” I hear absolutely no one asking.
After all, isn’t that what Facebook is for?
Not really.
Facebook is great for updates. This is more of a journal. A place where thoughts can breathe without worrying whether they’ll collect enough likes, hearts, or comments to prove they mattered.
For a long time, I think I unconsciously measured whether something I’d written was “worth it” by how many people reacted to it. And let’s be honest — who doesn’t enjoy being liked?
These days, though, I’m far less interested in validation and far more interested in simply writing. Ironically, even when people commented on my Facebook posts, I wasn’t particularly good at replying anyway. (Sorry. It’s not you. It’s…probably my introverted brain.) If someone genuinely wants to reach out, they know where to find me.
Maybe that’s growth.
Maybe I’ve just become an old soul with Wi-Fi.
Either way, I’ll still share the occasional blog post on Facebook — just not because I need the numbers.
So, if you’ve somehow wandered in and made it this far…
Welcome.
Or, if you’ve been here before…
Welcome back. 😊
